Ruairi Charlesworth

Ruairi Charlesworth is an accomplished professional in business development, currently serving as the Head of Business Development at Highway Data Systems since July 2017, focusing on digital materials testing and the integration of automated technology in construction. Prior experience includes a role as Business Development Manager at HDS, specializing in automated quality assurance technologies for asphalt construction, and as an Account Executive at Gartner. From April 2009 to July 2013, Ruairi was a Materials Technician at MATtest Southern, handling materials testing for asphalt, soils, and concrete. Notable work includes contributions to significant projects such as Heathrow Airport, London City Airport, the M25, and the SMART Motorways Programme. Ruairi holds an MSc in Management & International Business from Birkbeck Faculty of Business and Law, and is currently pursuing a degree in Asphalt Materials & Pavements at Newcastle University, complemented by a BA (Hons) from the University of Leeds and an International Baccalaureate from Bedford School.
