Higley Unified School District
Tim Maijala is an experienced educator with a focus on elementary education and teaching mathematics. Since April 2016, Tim has been teaching 4th grade and 5th grade Math at Higley Unified School District. Prior to this, from August 2010 to May 2016, Tim taught 5th grade at Apache Junction Unified School District, specializing in Math for several years and teaching all subjects during other years. Tim's career began at Gilbert Public Schools, where a student teaching role transitioned into a position as a substitute teacher, along with serving as a Title I Math specialist and a 6th grade teacher from August 2007 to May 2009. Tim holds a degree in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University, obtained between 2004 and 2007, and attended Chandler/Gilbert Community College from 2002 to 2004.
