Yaseen Mohammed MEng AMIChemE

Yaseen Mohammed MEng AMIChemE's work experience includes being a Chemical Process Engineer at HiiROC Ltd, where they are responsible for creating and maintaining process flow diagrams, P&ID's, and process datasheets. Yaseen also performs process design engineering, calculations, optimization, and equipment selection. Yaseen supports process safety reviews and HAZOP studies.

Yaseen has also worked as a Chemical Engineering Lab Demonstrator at The University of Hull, where they provided support to students during practical work and assisted with any issues they encountered. In this role, they prepared for classes and provided feedback to lecturers and technical staff.

Additionally, Yaseen participated in the BP Discovery Day Programme, gaining insights into the Petrochemical industry and the role of Chemical Engineers. Yaseen had the opportunity to explore BP's working environments and operations and learn about the production of Acetic Acid.

Yaseen also participated in the CATCH Facility Training programme, where they attended practical sessions on HAZOP and gained a deeper understanding of engineers' role in maintaining process safety standards.

Before pursuing their engineering career, Yaseen worked as a Project Worker and Team Leader at Open Doors Hull, where they helped and supported refugees and asylum seekers integrate into the local society. Yaseen managed a team of volunteers and assisted with various tasks.

Overall, Yaseen has experience in chemical process engineering, laboratory demonstrations, industry exploration, and community support.

Yaseen Mohammed pursued their higher education at the University of Hull from 2015 to 2020. During this time, they completed a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in the field of Chemical Engineering.
