Douglas Hurt

Douglas Hurt is the current Audit Committee Chair and Independent Non-Executive Director at Hikma Pharmaceuticals. Douglas has over 20 years of experience in finance and leadership roles. Douglas started their career as an accountant at Price Waterhouse from 1977 to 1983. Douglas then joined Glaxo Wellcome Inc. as their CFO from 1995 to 1998. In 1999, they became the Managing Director of Glaxo Wellcome UK Ltd.'s pharmaceutical business. From 2001 to 2006, Douglas held the position of Senior VP Competitive Excellence at GlaxoSmithKline where they were responsible for strategy and organisational effectiveness projects. Douglas also provided support to the CEO and Corporate Executive Team. In 2006, Douglas became the Finance Director at IMI plc and held this position until 2015. From 2010 to 2019, they served as a Non-Executive Director at Tate & Lyle where they were also the Senior Independent Director and Chair of Audit Committee.

After completing their undergraduate degree at the University of Cambridge, Douglas Hurt pursued a career in economics, earning their MA (Hons) from the same institution.
