Mike is a partner in the health team and has particular expertise in clinical negligence claims including high value birth and neurological claims. He is also chair of the Forum of Insurance Lawyers (FOIL) clinical negligence sector focus team.
Mike has been a partner at the firm for 27 years and was formerly head of the insurance department. He has practised in the health field exclusively for 20 years with expertise in handling high value claims for NHS Resolution. He lectures regularly for outside agencies and clients. He has been a member of the Forum of Insurance Lawyers (FOIL) for many years and is currently chair of the clinical negligence sector focus group where he can help to drive necessary change and policy in the health sector. He recently sat on the Civil Justice Council working party assisting in the debate on fixed recoverable costs in clinical negligence claims.
Mike runs a team of solicitors and paralegals handling high value claims for cerebral palsy and other complex brain and spinal injury cases where damages are likely to be in the region of up to £30 million.
Mike attended St Francis Xaviers' College in Liverpool, then Liverpool University and Chester College of Law.
