Russell Gardner

Russell specialises in all areas of contentious dry shipping and superyacht law. His work is global and principally derives on the shipping side from clubs, owners, charterers, ship managers and classification societies. On the superyacht side he is regularly instructed by owners, charterers, brokers and managers, and was instrumental in establishing our office in Monaco.

Although Russell believes that most disputes should be capable of commercial resolution, he has successfully handled many cases in arbitration and court proceedings, including the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court and in a number of courts overseas.

Russell read classics at Oxford University, following which he studied at the College of Law and was admitted as a solicitor in 1984.
