Sydney Umberto

Sydney Umberto has a diverse range of work experience in the fashion industry. In 2017, they began their career as a Textile Intern at Erich Soldat Textile Agency. They then went on to work as a Venue Assistant at IMG and as a Design Intern at Jonathan Simkhai in the same year. In 2018, Umberto had internships as a Market Intern at Alexander Wang Inc. and as a Fabric R&D Intern at The Row. In 2019, they worked as a Women's Contemporary Sample Assistant at Saks Fifth Avenue. In 2020, Umberto worked as a Freelance Assistant Designer at Lane Bryant and as part of the Research and Development team at Free Assembly. Most recently, they held the position of Associate Designer at BB Dakota, Inc. and are currently in the role of Associate Designer at Hill House Home.

Sydney Umberto has a diverse education history in the field of fashion and design. They started by completing a Precollege Program at the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2013-2014, after which they pursued a Certificate of Career Studies in Fashion and Interior Design at Orange-Ulster BOCES Career and Technical Education Center from 2013 to 2015. Sydney then went on to earn a High School Diploma from Warwick Valley High School in 2012 to 2015. Building on their foundation, they enrolled at Parsons School of Design - The New School from 2015 to 2019, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Fashion/Apparel Design. Additionally, during their time at Parsons, Sydney also pursued a Creative Entrepreneurship Minor in Strategic Design and Management from 2017 to 2019.
