Benjamin Perry has a diverse work experience. Benjamin currently serves as the Senior Center Medical Director at Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Senior Health Center since August 2015. Prior to this, they worked at The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics as a Geriatric Medicine Fellow from July 2014 to June 2015, Resident Physician from July 2011 to June 2014, and Family Medicine Chief Resident from April 2013 to April 2014. Benjamin also pursued an MBA degree at Mays Business School at Texas A&M University from June 2008 to May 2011. Benjamin was actively involved in the field of geriatrics during their time at Texas A&M Health Science Center, serving as the American Geriatrics Society Student Chapter President from March 2008 to May 2011. Benjamin also worked as a Medical Student from June 2006 to May 2011. Furthermore, Benjamin has volunteering experience as a Consultant at Scott & White Health Plan from August 2010 to April 2011, and at Erickson Retirement Communities from July 2009 to July 2010. Benjamin received the 2009 Texas Business Hall of Fame Scholarship and participated in the Summer Institute on Geriatrics at Boston University School of Medicine in June 2009. Benjamin was a Summer Research Scholar at Texas A&M Health Science Center from May 2007 to August 2007, and also served as a Summer Researcher at Rice University from March 2006 to July 2006.
Benjamin Perry's education history starts in 1998 when they attended Brigham Young University. Benjamin studied English and completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in 2006. Following this, they went on to attend the Texas A&M University School of Medicine from 2006 to 2011, where they earned their Medical Doctor (MD) degree. Concurrently, they also pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the Mays Business School - Texas A&M University from 2008 to 2011.

Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center is jointly operated by Hillcrest Health System and Scott & White Healthcare. The System includes Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center (HBMC), a fully accredited 237-bed acute care hospital on Interstate 35, HBMC - Herring Avenue, a post-acute care campus comprised of 73 inpatient beds including the Scott & White Center for Rehabilitative Medicine and Hillcrest Family Health Center, a network of primary care clinics located in Bellmead, China Spring, Hewitt, Woodway and Waco. HMBC is home to Waco's only Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and is the area's designated Trauma Center. Hillcrest is also the Official Healthcare Provider for Baylor University Athletics.
