Dr. Josh Hartman has a diverse work experience spanning over several positions and organizations. Dr. Josh'smost recent role is as the Associate Vice President for Immersive Experiences & Global Operations at Hillel International, where they oversee various aspects of training, marketing, recruitment, logistics, education, and other trip operations for high-impact immersive Israel experiences, serving thousands of students annually. Dr. Josh manages full-time staff members and collaborates with Israel-based colleagues and travel professionals. Dr. Hartman also manages the business operations associated with immersive Israel experiences and secures new opportunities for revenue growth. Additionally, they provide strategic and operational oversight for Hillel International's network of cities and employees outside of North America.

Prior to their role at Hillel International, Dr. Hartman served as the Senior Director of Residential Life & Learning at Tufts University, where they provided strategic leadership for a comprehensive residential system and oversaw various areas including residential education, housing services, residential operations, and residential leadership and programs. Dr. Josh managed a large budget and staff team and directed faculty engagement programs.

Before their time at Tufts University, Dr. Hartman was the Associate Dean of Students at Whittier College, where they provided strategic direction and leadership for the Campus Life team, overseeing various student services including residential life, equity and inclusion, student activities, and Greek life. Dr. Josh supervised staff members and managed the student health center and counseling center.

Dr. Hartman also worked as the Director of Residential Education at Bucknell University, where they directed residential education programs, and as a Residence Hall Director at New York University, where they managed a first-year community and participated in emergency on-call rotations. Dr. Josh also held positions at Dartmouth College and The George Washington University, where they worked in residential life, marketing and events, and student involvement and spirit programs.

Overall, Dr. Josh Hartman has extensive experience in leadership roles within higher education institutions, with a focus on residential life, student services, program development, and global operations.

Dr. Josh Hartman has completed a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from New England College. Dr. Josh also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Sociocultural Anthropology from The George Washington University. Furthermore, Dr. Hartman obtained a Master of Arts in Education and Human Development with a specialization in Higher Education Administration/Student Affairs Administration from The George Washington University Graduate School of Education and Human Development. Additionally, they earned an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Higher Education Administration/Student Affairs Administration from The George Washington University Graduate School of Education and Human Development.
