Bau Yi Woo, PhD

Bau Yi Woo, PhD has several years of work experience in scientific research and analytical development. In 2022, they joined Hilleman Laboratories as a Scientist in Analytical Development. Prior to this, they worked at A*STAR Bioprocessing Technology Institute (BTI) from 2021 to 2022 as a Research Scientist in protein analytics. In 2021, they held the position of Bioanalytical Scientist at Prestige BioPharma Ltd from January to June. Bau Yi Woo also worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the National University of Singapore from 2017 to 2020, where they contributed to research on bacterial quorum sensing and multi-drug resistance. Before that, they gained experience as an Analytical Chemist at Shimadzu (Asia Pacific) Pte Ltd in 2011, where they specialized in analytical instrumentation and method development.

Bau Yi Woo, PhD, embarked on their education journey in 2009 at the National University of Singapore. From 2009 to 2013, they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science (Honours) degree with a specialization in Applied Chemistry - Medicinal Chemistry. Building upon their undergraduate studies, they continued their academic pursuit at the National University of Singapore from 2013 to 2019. During this period, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Science, with a focus on Chemical Biology and Microbiology.
