Rick Redman

Rick Redman has an extensive work experience spanning over several decades.

Rick began their career as a News Reporter at WHAS TV (CBS) in 1980, where they covered a wide range of local news topics and received multiple awards for their reporting. Rick was recognized as the first Louisville TV news journalist to report live from a station-owned helicopter.

In 1987, Rick joined WAVE TV (NBC) as the Executive Producer of Sports. During their time there, they gained an Emmy Award for their work in creating and executing the first Friday night high school sports highlight program in Louisville. Rick also covered major American sports events such as the Kentucky Derby, Breeder's Cup, and Indianapolis 500, as well as NCAA Final Fours, college football bowl games, NFL, MLB, and NBA.

Following their success at WAVE TV, Rick joined the Kentucky Lottery Corporation in 1994 as the VP of Public Affairs & Corporate Communications. Rick developed and executed strategies to promote the gaming company and received the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries “Powers Award” for their outstanding communication skills. Rick played a significant role in generating profits for education programs in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

From 2003 onwards, Rick Redman became the VP of Corporate Communications at Hillerich & Bradsby Co. Rick worked on enhancing, growing, and protecting the iconic Louisville Slugger brand. Rick collaborated with Wilson Sporting Goods to oversee public relations strategies for the company's portfolio of baseball and softball brands including DeMarini, Evoshield, ATEC, and Louisville Slugger. Their responsibilities included media relations, public relations, Major League Baseball relations, government relations, social media strategies, and corporate social responsibility.

Rick Redman attended Bowling Green State University from 1976 to 1980. Rick obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication during this time.
