Patricia Mullins, Esq. currently serves as an Assistant State Attorney at the Hillsborough County State Attorney's Office, 13th Judicial Circuit, since March 2024. The State Attorney is a Florida Constitutional officer elected to a four-year term whose office prosecutes crimes throughout the judicial circuit. Susan S. Lopez, the State Attorney for the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit, which encompasses all of Hillsborough County, including the cities of Tampa, Temple Terrace, and Plant City. Our office staff consists of more than 300 dedicated public servants, including approximately 130 prosecutors (“Assistant State Attorneys”) as well as investigators, victim advocates, and support staff. In addition to its primary responsibility of prosecuting criminal offenses, the Office of the State Attorney is actively involved in a variety of community organizations dedicated to preventing crime, reducing recidivism, and supporting victims. The Office also proactively engages with the community in order to improve communication, facilitate transparency, and promote trust with the citizens of Hillsborough County.
