Christina Kennedy, Ph.D., has extensive experience in the field of education. Christina began their career as an Instructional Support Teacher at Fulton County Schools in 1997, where they provided instructional support to teachers. In 2003, they moved on to become the Curriculum Director at Immaculate Heart of Mary School, overseeing curriculum development and implementation. In 2005, they joined Hillside, Inc. as the Director of Education, where they worked at a residential treatment facility for children with severe mental health needs. In this role, they also served as the liaison between the hospital and local/state school systems and coordinated federal programs and budgets for students in neglected and delinquent facilities. Also in 2005, they became the Education Director/Principal at Hillside Conant School, where they continued their work at the residential treatment facility. Since 2013, they have been a Part-Time Instructor at Georgia State University, teaching courses in the Department of Educational Psychology, Special Education, and Communication Disorders, with a focus on Behavior Management and Applied Behavior Analysis.
Christina Kennedy, Ph.D. obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in French and Mass Communication from The University of Georgia, where they studied from 1990 to 1994. Following this, they pursued further education at Georgia State University, where they completed their Ph.D. in Educational Psychology and Special Education from 2005 to 2009. Additionally, Christina Kennedy also engaged in a program at Georgia State University focused on Educational Leadership, although the duration and completion status of this program were not provided.
