W. Gaan Akers Lpc, Ncc

W. Gaan Akers, LPC, NCC has extensive work experience in the field of mental health. From 2016 until the present, Akers has been with Hillside, Inc, starting as a Referral Relations Coordinator and progressing to the role of Clinical Education & Referral Relations Manager. Currently, Akers serves as the Director of Clinical Education & Outreach. Prior to joining Hillside, Inc, Akers worked as a Clinical Mental Health Therapist at Crescent Pines Hospital from 2013 to 2016.

W. Gaan Akers, LPC, NCC completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Psychology and Religious Studies at Georgia State University from 2000 to 2004. Following that, from 2011 to 2013, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Mercer University, which they successfully completed in December 2013.
