Nathanael Smith

Nathanael Smith is an experienced technology professional with a strong background in software development and architecture. Currently serving as Principal Platform Architect and Senior Lead Software Engineer at Hilton since September 2017, Nathanael has led the redesign and re-platforming of the reservations user interface while contributing to the advancement of development techniques and training new developers. Prior experience includes working as a Senior Developer at RocketFuel from October 2013 to August 2017, where Nathanael collaborated with UI/Design teams and utilized modern Javascript frameworks, HTML/CSS, and PHP to enhance web solutions. Earlier, Nathanael held the position of Communications and Research Associate at the Jefferson Center for New Democratic Process, focusing on website development, research, policy analysis, grant writing, and strategic marketing campaigns. Nathanael holds a B.A. in Political Science from Macalester College, obtained in 2012.
