Sammy Lau has extensive experience in demand generation and content marketing, notably serving as the Director of Demand Generation & Content Marketing at Lillio from 2020 to 2023, where Lillio raised $70M in Series B funding. Prior to Lillio, Sammy held various roles at Top Hat, including Director of Demand Generation, contributing to its status as Canada's leading edtech scaleup with over $235 million in funding. Sammy's earlier career includes significant positions at Canopy Labs, where a focus on predictive analytics shaped customer journeys, and at the Bill Graham Centre, where the original brand identity was developed. Additional roles at UNHCR involved digital fundraising and private sector fundraising, enhancing global fundraising efforts. Sammy holds an Honours BA in History and Human Geography from the University of Toronto, as well as an International Baccalaureate from Britannia Secondary School.
