Kanakanand S

Kanakanand S has a diverse and extensive work history, primarily in the manufacturing industry. Kanakanand is currently the President and Head of Manufacturing CoE at Hindalco Industries Limited, a position they have held since December 2022. Prior to this, Kanakanand served as the National Head of Operations for the Glass Business at Saint-Gobain India Private Limited from September 2022 to November 2022.

Kanakanand's previous experience includes various roles at Hindalco Industries Limited, where they were the President and Unit Head of Birla Copper from March 2019 to August 2022. Kanakanand also served as the Head of Power Plant - 900MW from November 2018 to March 2019, the Smelter Head of Mahan Aluminium from November 2011 to November 2018, Joint President from July 2011 to October 2011, and Senior Vice President from December 2009 to June 2011.

Before joining Hindalco Industries Limited, Kanakanand worked at Hindustan Lever Limited, where they served as the Manager for SHE Q improvement and Distribution centers from July 2009 to November 2009. Kanakanand also held the position of Factory Manager for Goa HPC at Hindustan Lever Ltd from 2007 to 2009 and Cluster Factory Manager for South Tea at Hindustan Lever Limited from January 2006 to June 2007.

Kanakanand S pursued a BE (Hons) degree in Production Engineering from the National Institute of Technology in Tiruchirappalli from 1985 to 1989. Later, in 1996 to 1997, Kanakanand S attended the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore and completed the Management Programme for Technologists, resulting in a Master's degree in Management Programme for Technologists (MPT).
