Alisa Hughes

Alisa Hughes serves as the District Career Services Navigator at Hinds Community College since September 2017, focusing on connecting students with job opportunities and following up with graduates on employment status. Prior roles include MI-Best/ABE Navigator, where Alisa facilitated student transitions into college, and WIOA Career Services Coach, responsible for recruiting students for approved programs. Previous experience at Jackson State University included Coordinator of Special Events & On-Campus Recruitment, where Alisa organized events and advised students on career development. Alisa's background also includes administrative roles at Wilkins Elementary School and Clausell Elementary School, as well as volunteer work with the Girl Scouts of Greater Mississippi. Alisa holds a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Jackson State University.
