Samir EL ZEIN

Samir EL ZEIN has a diverse work experience in various roles within the field of data science and artificial intelligence. Samir currently serves as the Head of Data Science at Hindsight Technology Solutions since February 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior AI consultant for the UAE government from January 2021 to January 2022. Samir also worked as an Artificial Intelligence Consultant for Analytics Lab Tech from February 2020 to January 2021, and for oktopi.ai from March 2020 to November 2020.

Before transitioning into the industry, Samir was the Co-founder CTO of Neotic.ai from February 2015 to January 2020. Samir has also gained valuable experience through startup accelerations at Speed@BDD in Beirut and BlackBox in San Francisco from March 2017 to September 2017.

In addition, they have previous experience as a Technical Consultant from March 2012 to July 2017, a University Instructor and Researcher at Lyon University in France, KU Leuven in Belgium, and Auburn University in the USA from September 2007 to September 2012, and as a School Teacher at Enayeh School in Tripoli and Abboudiyyeh School from September 1999 to September 2001.

Samir EL ZEIN completed their education with a Master's degree in Computer Chemistry from Universite Claude Bernard Lyon 1 in 2002. Samir then pursued a PhD in Computational Chemistry/Physics, first at École normale supérieure de Lyon from 2002 to 2005, and then at Université de Lyon during the same time period. Following their PhD, Samir EL ZEIN went on to do a Postdoc in Computational Physics and Chemistry at The University of Bonn from 2005 to 2007.
