HMT LIMITED Incorporated as “Hindustan Machine Tools” at Bengaluru on 7th February 1953, and popularly known as “HMT”, HMT Limited, is a Central Public Sector Enterprise of the Government of India, under the Department of Heavy Industry, Ministry of Heavy Industries. While HMT Watches have adorned the wrists of the mighty and the humble, HMT’s Machines have been deployed across the manufacturing sector including strategic sectors and are known to be long lasting “Value for Money” products. HMT (International) incorporated in 1974 as a wholly owned subsidiary of the HMT Limited, to cater to the export markets of HMT’s products, has also implemented several turnkey engineering projects in various countries and has created a niche in setup of Vocational Training Centres, Entrepreneurial Training Centres, Skill Development Centres, etc. on turnkey basis.
