Hip Hop Public Health
Janhavi Mallaiah currently serves as the Program Director at Columbia University in the City of New York for the Columbia Institute for Training Outreach and Community Health (InTOuCH) since April 2021. Concurrently, Janhavi Mallaiah works as a Project Coordinator for Hip Hop Stroke 2.0 and as a Program Manager for InTOuCH at Columbia University Medical Center, both roles held since September 2016. Additional experience includes a Program Manager position at Hip Hop Public Health and previous roles as a Graduate Research Assistant at UNT Health Science Center and Harvard School of Public Health. Prior to these positions, Janhavi Mallaiah led the Preventive & Primary Health Project at Biocon Foundation from January 2009 to June 2012. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, a Master's Degree in Public Health (MPH) from UNT Health Science Center, and a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Community Health Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. Early education was completed at Bishop Cotton Girls High School.
