Russ Nichols

Russ Nichols currently serves as HiPER in Residence at HiPER Solutions and as a Senior Fellow at the Center for Digital Government. Nichols has significant experience in leadership roles within California’s technology landscape, including serving as the Interim State CIO for California and holding various positions within the California Department of Technology, such as Deputy State CIO and Chief Deputy Director. Past roles also include leadership positions in the Corrections Technology Association, where Nichols served as President and Past President, and project management for major IT initiatives, including California's MyCalPays project. Nichols holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from California State University-Sacramento.
