Wim Meeussen

Wim Meeussen has a diverse work experience in the field of robotics and software engineering. Wim is the CTO and Founder of Hippo Harvest since June 2019. Prior to that, they worked at Google as a Software Engineering Manager II from September 2018 to June 2019, as a Software Engineering Manager from December 2016 to August 2018, and as a Senior Software Engineer from September 2014 to December 2016.

Before joining Google, Wim Meeussen worked as the CTO and Founder of hiDOF from August 2012 to August 2014, where they provided consulting and contracting services in robotics and automation. Wim has worked with various tech start-ups and Fortune 500 companies on projects related to indoor vehicle navigation, automobile motion planning, visual inertial navigation, visual monocular SLAM, and real-time controller development.

Wim Meeussen also has a background in academia, having worked at Willow Garage as a Senior Software Engineer from November 2010 to August 2012, and as a Software Engineer from November 2008 to November 2010. Wim started their career as a Research Assistant and later as a Research Scientist in Robotics at KU Leuven from January 2003 to December 2006 and from January 2007 to July 2007, respectively.

Wim Meeussen's education history is as follows:

From 1997 to 2000, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering at KU Leuven.

In 2000, they enrolled at KU Leuven once again, this time earning a Master's degree in Mechatronics and Mechanical Engineering.

Wim also pursued a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at Technische Universität Graz during the same period, from 2000 to 2001.

Furthermore, they went on to pursue a Ph.D. degree in Robotics and Mechanical Engineering at KU Leuven from 2003 to 2007.

In addition to this, they also pursued a Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from 2003 to 2004.
