Christopher Wakamatsu has a diverse work experience in software engineering and devops roles. Christopher began their career as a Java Application Developer at Quintron Systems, Inc. in 2012. Christopher then worked as an ITS QA Student Assistant at Cal Poly State University from 2011 to 2013. In 2013, they joined AppDynamics, where they initially worked as a Software Automation Engineer before transitioning to a Software Engineer role. Christopher was with AppDynamics until 2018. In 2018, Christopher joined Caffeine as a Software Engineer and later became a Senior Software Engineer before leaving the company in 2019. Since 2019, they have been working at Hippo Insurance, first as a DevOps Engineer and currently as a Software Engineer. At Hippo Insurance, Christopher has contributed to various parts of their codebases and played a key role in implementing foundational infrastructure for supporting insurance flows.
Christopher Wakamatsu attended Los Angeles Pierce College from 2007 to 2010, where they earned an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Computer Science. Christopher then transferred to California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, where they studied from 2010 to 2012. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science. Additionally, in 2010, they briefly attended Los Angeles Valley College. However, the degree and field of study for this period are unspecified.
