Steve Wilson

Steve Wilson has a diverse work experience in the insurance industry. Steve is currently serving as a Director of Technical Underwriting at Hippo Insurance since November 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Underwriting Manager at the same company from September 2020 to November 2022.

Before joining Hippo Insurance, Steve worked at State Farm for a significant period. Steve held various roles including Underwriting Team Manager from August 2015 to September 2020, Underwriting Support Services Supervisor from May 2012 to August 2015, Commercial Fire/Business Auto Underwriter from August 2009 to May 2012, Premier Service Program Claim Representative from November 2008 to August 2009, Field Catastrophe Claim Representative from October 2003 to November 2008, Claims Representative from December 2002 to October 2003, and Customer Response Center Representative from May 2000 to December 2002.

Throughout their career, Steve has demonstrated expertise in managing underwriting teams, delivering high-quality customer service, and navigating complex state regulations. Steve has also excelled in resolving property claims and responding to catastrophic events. Additionally, Steve has experience in training and implementing technology to improve estimating and claims processes.

Steve Wilson attended the University of Minnesota from 2000 to 2002 and completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Economics.
