Wei Zou's work experience begins with a role as a Senior Software Engineer at Hippo Insurance starting in 2021. Prior to this, from 2019 to 2021, Wei worked as a Software Engineer at LogDNA, where they were responsible for the development and maintenance of an internal work queue messaging system written in Node.js. They also conducted integration testing and played a key role in knowledge transfer and resolving production incidents.
From 2017 to 2019, Wei worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Walmart eCommerce, leading the development of an HTML/SVG based web application for the in-store map feature in the Walmart App. They also built a Node.js/GraphQL API service for Black Friday peak throughput. Before joining Walmart, Wei worked at PayPal as a Software Engineer from 2014 to 2015, where they were involved in building a new generation of payment applications and payment experience using node.js, LESS, and AngularJS. They were mainly responsible for application development, performance-related data analysis, and data visualization.
Wei's work experience at PayPal began with a Software Engineer Internship from June to September 2013, where they worked on a data analysis and visualization project on Checkout User Experience using Python and SQL.
Finally, Wei's first work experience was as a Mobile Development Intern at Symantec from June 2012 to January 2013. In this role, they developed an auto-upgraded Android application to collect information from Android devices and built a database-driven website to display the collected data. They also worked on an Android wallet application.
Wei Zou completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from UCLA, from the year 2011 to 2013. In addition, Wei obtained a certification in "M102: MongoDB for DBAs" from MongoDB University in September 2015.
