HIRAKAWA HEWTECH CORP. is a company mainly engaged in the development, design, manufacture, sale and servicing of electric wires, transmission and broadcasting equipment such as optical relay systems, as well as medical tubes using electric wire cable technologies. The Company operates in two business segments. The Electric Wires and Processed Products segment offers electric wires and processed products, fine cables and processed products, as well as electric power supply cords, parts and wire harness. The Electronics and Medical Parts segment provides device equipment, electronic parts, special tubes and processed products, among others. As of March 31, 2013, the Company had 18 subsidiaries.
