Laura Fortner is the Founder and CEO of HireEdge. Laura has over 20 years of experience in the media and technology industries.

Laura started their career at CNN in 1999 as Vice President of Business Development & Operations for CNNMoney. Laura then became Vice President of Business Development for CNN in 2004. In 2006, Laura joined CafeMom as Executive Vice President of Marketing & Business Development.

In 2011, Laura founded DealPoint, a company that provides strategy, business planning, revenue optimization, partnership and product roadmap services to early stage digital start-ups, established media companies, national brands and non profit organizations.

In 2014, Laura joined The Whistle Sports Network (Whistle Sports) as EVP, Marketing & Business Development. Laura was with Whistle Sports until 2017 when they founded HireEdge.

Laura Fortner attended Ward Melville High School before studying East Asian Studies at Princeton University. Laura then attended Harvard Business School, where they earned their MBA. Laura has also studied Mandarin Chinese and Japanese at summer language schools affiliated with Middlebury College.
