Jim Desmond

Jim Desmond currently serves as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at HireRight, a position held since July 2025. Prior to this role, Jim held the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Security Officer at Asurion from March 2019 to July 2025, overseeing global cybersecurity, risk management, and business continuity for the company. From December 2012 to March 2019, Jim was the Senior Vice President, CISO/CSO at Elevate, leading cybersecurity and physical security teams for the multinational financial technology company. Earlier in Jim's career, positions included Vice President of Information Security & Systems Protection at Vantiv and Director of Information Security at Intuit, where responsibilities encompassed data security for a major online banking division. Jim holds a Master's degree in Organizational Leadership from Norwich University and a CISO Executive Education Certificate from Carnegie Mellon University.
