Samip Mehra

Samip Mehra is the current advisor at HireRising. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Information Technology at USAA from September 2018 to August 2021. In this role, they were responsible for the modernization of omni-channel acquisition and servicing domains for members and MSRs across LOBs. Samip also lead a large cross-matrixed org to create custom digital experiences using principles of Domain-Driven Design and a Common Data Model to deliver Business Capabilities and Products leveraging a core Guidewire engine.

Other responsibilities included driving alignment to a shared technical vision, establishing architectural artifacts & policies; creating transformational teams and systems that use cutting-edge technologies to continue providing best-in-class omni-channel experiences for USAA members. Samip was also responsible for establishing strategies & a roadmap; influencing a highly talented cross-functional matrix org; enabling transformation through organizational agility, a scalable Operating Model, Technology and Processes; establishing the Architectural runway, future-state Architecture and Design; setting and strengthening the foundation for CI/CD and DevOps.

In addition, they led P&C Policy Modernization initiatives and Engineering efforts in Phoenix through formative phases. Their focus is on hiring, onboarding, establishing the ARTs and influencing the enablement of optimal path to business value.
