Operational Lead Of Complex Care at Hireup

Dr. Aviva Beecher Kelk has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. In their current role as the Operational Lead of Complex Care at Hireup since 2023, they oversee the management of complex care services. Prior to this, they served as the ILO Lead at Hireup from 2021 to 2023, where they designed, tested, and grew the Independent Living Options (ILO) offering. Dr. Kelk also worked as an Adjunct Lecturer at the UNSW Business School starting in 2020.

Before joining Hireup, they were the Co-Founder and CEO of Clickability from 2014 to 2021, a platform that connects people with disability support services. Dr Aviva completed their PhD in 2020 at The University of Melbourne, where their research focused on the information needs of disability support service consumers.

Dr. Kelk has also held various research and academic positions, including being a Research Assistant and Academic Tutor at The University of Melbourne from 2013 to 2019. Additionally, they have worked as a Westpac100 Social Change Fellow at Westpac100, an Academic Tutor at Deakin University, and a Research Project Officer at Merri Community Health Services. Dr Aviva'searlier experience includes roles as a Choices Support Advisor at Mental Illness Fellowship Victoria, a Researcher at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, and a Network Program Coordinator at The Shalom Institute.

Dr Aviva Beecher Kelk's education history includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Sculpture and Textiles from UNSW, which they obtained from 2005 to 2010. Dr Aviva also earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) (Hons1) degree in Sociology and Anthropology from UNSW during the same time period. Dr Aviva Beecher Kelk then pursued a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree at the University of Melbourne from 2012 to 2013. Finally, they completed their education by obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Social Work from the University of Melbourne between 2015 and 2020.
