Nanako Sasanuma

Nanako Sasanuma is a Ph.D. candidate at Hirosaki University since April 2022 and will serve as a guest Ph.D. student at DTU Wind and Energy Systems from August 2023 to July 2024. Previous experience includes training at 九州大学 in August 2022, focusing on turbine wake effects through SCADA data and LES simulation software. Internships at Japan Wind Energy Consulting Inc. (WINC) in January and September 2021 involved wind resource assessments for offshore projects, including energy yield assessments and data calibration using Doppler Lidar. Educational qualifications include a graduate degree in Sustainable Community Studies from Hirosaki University and additional studies in linguistics and culture in Mexico, as well as engineering in offshore wind energy at Delft University of Technology.

Hirosaki University was established in the former castle town of Hirosaki in 1949. It is a national university and is located in Aomori prefecture, situated at the northern end of Honshu Island. Hirosaki University is comprised of five faculties. The Faculty of Humanities, the Faculty of Education, the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Science and Technology, and the Faculty of Agriculture and Life Science together serve to cover almost every academic field.
