George T. Hayum

Mr. Hayum graduated from Princeton University with honors from its Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs in 1967. At Princeton, he received a McConnell Fellowship. He was subsequently awarded a Fullbright Fellowship and studied International Affairs and Politics in France. Mr. Hayum obtained his law degree from Yale Law School. While at Yale, he served as Professor Alexander Bickel’s head teaching assistant in Yale College and was a director of the Yale Law School Film Society. After practicing corporate law on Wall Street and administrative law in Washington, D.C., Mr. Hayum began his career in the entertainment field as studio legal counsel for Columbia Pictures. Previously with Armstrong Hirsch, he represents actors, directors, writers, producers, rights holders, production and distribution entities in film, television, legitimate stage, new media, video games, film distribution, remake rights and the acquisition of literary properties. Mr. Hayum helped found the present firm in 2004. His pro bono work has included Doctors Without Borders, Board of Trustees of Antioch University and the éQuinoxe writing/producing program. He is a member of the Bars of California, New York and the District of Columbia, and speaks French fluently.
