Mr. Wallerstein is a graduate of the University of Southern California, class of 1970. Subsequently, Mr. Wallerstein attended the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, graduating in 1973 with a Juris Doctorate. Mr. Wallerstein began his career at the boutique law firm of Covey and Covey where he began specializing in entertainment law. While there, he represented major network television production companies and recording artists. In 1978, Mr. Wallerstein left private practice to join Paramount Pictures Corporation as the senior attorney of the Theatrical Division. In 1981, he joined Armstrong Hirsch where he represented film actors, writers, directors, and major international film producers and distributors. As an aspect of representing talent, he supervised transactions involving complex film financing arrangements and oversaw required tax planning for individuals who rendered services in foreign jurisdictions. Mr. Wallerstein helped found the present law firm in 2004 to ensure that each client would be represented by senior and experienced counsel. Mr. Wallerstein’s present practice focuses on the evolving entertainment industry and business strategies that will benefit the firm’s talent clients in film, television, cable, recording, video game, and emerging internet and mobile/cellular industries.
