Ian Howard

Ian Howard is a highly experienced solicitor specializing in technical liability claims with a focus on complex injury cases, including brain and spinal cord injuries, chronic pain, psychological disorders, and medical malpractice. Currently serving as a Senior Technical Liability Claims Underwriter at Hiscox since October 2015, Ian manages high-value reserves and provides in-house legal expertise. Previously, Ian worked at BLM from June 2010 to October 2015, holding various roles from trainee solicitor to liability claims underwriter. Ian began a legal career as a paralegal at Cogent Law from June 2008 to June 2010. Ian earned a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (Hons) from Lancaster University and completed the Legal Practice Course at BBP Law School, Leeds. Ian's educational background also includes studies in History, English Language, Classic History, and Politics at Shrewsbury Sixth Form College.
