Hongmin Chen

Hongmin Chen has extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry, with prominent roles in various companies. Starting in 2002, Chen worked as a Senior Optical Engineer at Optovia Corporation until 2006. Then, from 2006 to 2007, they worked as a Senior Optical Engineer at Azna LLC. Chen moved on to Stratalight Communications in 2007, where they served as a Production Test Engineer until 2008. From 2008 to 2009, they worked as a Senior Optical System Engineer at Matisse Networks. Chen then joined JDSU in 2010 as an Optical Engineer until 2012. In 2012, they began their tenure at Huawei, starting as a Senior Staff Engineer and progressing to the role of Chief Expert Optoelectronics. They held various positions at Huawei, including Senior Director and Director. Currently, Chen is working at Hisense Broadband Multimedia Technologies, Ltd. as a Chief Expert.

Hongmin Chen completed their education in a chronological order. They obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Physics from Tsinghua University, starting in 1991 and finishing in 1998. Subsequently, they pursued higher education at the University of Connecticut, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physics from 1998 to 2002.
