Alex Sandoval has a diverse work experience. Alex started their career at Saturday Night Magazine as a Contributing Writer in 2009. In 2010, they worked at SA Studios Global as a Studio Manager, where they were responsible for content strategy, marketing strategies, and managing studio finances. In the same year, they also joined the Los Angeles County Fire Department as a Fire Suppression Aid/Analyst, where they improved statistical analysis outcomes and developed a data model to enhance staffing efficiency. In 2014, they joined the Hispanic Scholarship Fund as a Special Assistant to the President & CEO, and later became the Sr. Manager of Marketing & Analytics before assuming the role of Sr. Director/Sr. Vice President of Analytics & Data Visualization in 2017.
Alex Sandoval holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communication and Marketing from the University of Southern California. In addition to their formal education, Alex has pursued various certifications including Essential Design Principles for Tableau and Fundamentals of Visualization with Tableau from Coursera, as well as an Emergency Medical Technician certification from the Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA). Alex has also completed courses in Data Visualization with Advanced Excel, Data-driven Decision Making, Effective Business Presentations with PowerPoint, Problem Solving with Excel, and The Data Scientist's Toolbox, all from Coursera.
