Javier Folguera

Javier Folguera is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in corporate law and governance. Currently serving as General Counsel and Secretary of the Board of Directors at Hispasat since June 2008, Javier leads a team of in-house lawyers across Spain and Brazil, while also supervising external legal counsel in various countries. Prior to this role, Javier worked as a Senior Associate at Pérez-Llorca, focusing on corporate and M&A advisory, and at Ashurst, where transactional advice was provided to corporations and financial institutions. Javier began their career as an Associate at Ramón y Cajal Abogados, specializing in capital markets and corporate law. Educational qualifications include a Master of Laws (LLM) from IE Business School and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
