Mauricio Segovia

Mauricio Segovia serves as the International Director at Hispasat since February 2024, bringing extensive leadership experience from his role as Chief Executive Officer at AXESS Networks (September 2019 - February 2024) and Axesat (2003 - September 2019), where Segovia oversaw the company’s operations in Latin America, generating over 35 million USD in annual revenue. Prior to these positions, Segovia held a consultant role at Booz Allen Hamilton (1999 - 2003), where key achievements included strategic positioning for a major gas liquids unit and designing a national rural telecommunications program for the Colombian government. Segovia began a career at BellSouth International, Inc. (1997 - 1999), focusing on credit policy reforms and fraud detection initiatives that significantly reduced company losses. Educationally, Segovia holds a licentiate degree in Economics from Lehigh University and master’s degrees in Economics from New York University and the University of Southern California.
