Jay Jackson

Public Engagement Manager at Historic England

Jay Jackson is a seasoned professional in public engagement and policy, currently serving as the Public Engagement Manager at Historic England since July 2023, and as Vice Chair and Trustee at Transform Drug Policy Foundation since May 2023. With a background that includes volunteer work with The Loop and a role as Parliamentary Campaigner for Adfree Cities, Jackson has a strong commitment to drug policy reform as evidenced during tenure at the Labour Campaign for Drug Policy Reform and as Head of Policy & Public Affairs at Volteface. Previous experience as a Constituency Assistant in the House of Commons involved managing various stakeholder relations and constituency campaigns. An accomplished writer, Jackson contributed to Forge Press from 2015 to 2020, earning a nomination for a National Student Journalism Award. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Modern History and a Bachelor of Arts in Politics, both from The University of Sheffield.
