Ali George

Ali George is a seasoned digital content professional with extensive experience in communications and media within the heritage sector. Currently serving as a Senior Digital Content Officer at Historic Environment Scotland since September 2013, Ali oversees the strategic management of key social media channels and develops comprehensive content strategies. Previous roles at Historic Environment Scotland include Digital Content Officer and Communications Officer, where responsibilities ranged from content generation to securing media coverage in national outlets. Ali's experience also extends to freelance journalism and various media roles, including voluntary work with Homespun Theatre and contributions to multiple publications. Ali holds an MA (Hons) in Modern History from the University of St Andrews and has engaged in further education at Edinburgh College of Art.
