We care for more than 300 properties of national importance, drawing more than 3 million visitors per year. We look after internationally significant collections including over five million drawings, manuscripts and images of Scotland, along with one of the largest collections of aerial imagery in the world. We invest about £14 million a year to national and local organisations, supporting building repairs, ancient monuments, archaeological work, and others. With over 1,200 members of staff, our range of skills and disciplines is wide and varied. We employ archaeologists, art historians, conservators, craftspeople, custodians, building professionals and specialised support staff.
