James Hepher is a Surveyor/Spatial Analyst currently working at Historic Environment Scotland since July 2010. Prior to this role, James worked as a Surveyor at RCAHMS from December 2002 to May 2010 and as a Surveyor/Archaeologist at AOC Archaeology from March 2001 to November 2002. James holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Archaeology and Geology followed by Topographic Surveying from the University of Glasgow. James specializes in surveying landscapes, sites, monuments, and archaeological excavations using various technologies such as GPS/GNSS, 3D laser scanning, and digital photography to produce digital imagery and maps.
