Joanna Cole

Joanna Cole currently serves as a Technical Content Officer at Historic Environment Scotland since July 2023, having previously completed an apprenticeship as a Stonemason with the same organization from August 2018 to February 2023. Joanna transitioned to a career in restoration and conservation after spending 15 years in the energy sector, pursuing studies in Furniture Restoration at City of Glasgow College from 2012 to 2014, where skills in woodworking and upholstery were developed. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Science (BSc (Hons)) and a Master of Research (MRes) in Geology and Physical Geography from The University of Edinburgh, alongside specialized training in furniture restoration at City of Glasgow College. Interests encompass restoration, antiques, furniture, conservation, heritage, and environment, including wood and stone.
