CTO at Historic Environment Scotland

Roddy King has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Roddy began their career at BP as a Software Developer in 1989. Roddy then worked as a Software Developer and Analyst at Royal London from 1992 to 1997. From 1997 to 2004, they served as a Service Delivery Manager at Logica, where they worked with Scottish Power, Scottish & Southern Energy, and Scottish Water. After that, they joined Ofsted as a Change, Test & Release Manager from 2004 to 2006. Roddy returned to Logica and worked as a Prince2 Project Manager for the Scottish Children's Reporter Administration from 2006 to 2010. Following this, they worked as a Service Delivery Manager at the Scottish Children's Reporter Administration from 2010 to 2011. From 2011 to 2017, they worked at The Scottish Parliament as a Project & Senior Service Delivery Manager. Most recently, they have been serving as the CTO at Historic Environment Scotland since 2017.

Roddy King attended Edinburgh Napier University from 1987 to 1991, where they pursued a degree in BSc Computing. This indicates that their field of study was specifically in the area of computing.
