Hannah Berman has a diverse work experience in a variety of positions. Hannah worked as a Research Historian (Jr. Associate) at HAI from April 2023. Prior to that, from September 2021 to May 2022, they interned at the Museum at Eldridge Street where they curated an online exhibition, contributed to the museum's blog, and learned about exhibition installation. From December 2019 to August 2021, Hannah was a Research Intern at Mount Hebron Cemetery, where they conducted research on buried individuals and focused on identifying Jewish war veterans. In July and August 2019, they interned at the New York Genealogical and Biographical Society. Lastly, in January 2019, Hannah interned at the Office of Congresswoman Nita Lowey, where they provided constituent services and assisted the office staff.
Hannah Berman obtained their Bachelor's degree in History from Queens College, specializing in American History (United States), from 2017 to 2020. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master's degree in Archives and Public History at New York University, starting in 2020 and expected to complete in 2022.
