Franklin Burquest is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in the medical device industry, currently serving as Principal Development Engineer and previously as Senior Development Engineer at HistoSonics, Inc. from June 2021 to the present. Prior to that, Burquest worked at Medtronic from September 2016 to June 2021 as a Research and Development Engineer, following a role as R&D Mechanical Engineer Intern at Medtronic Minimally Invasive Therapies Group. Additional experience includes positions at 3M as a Technical Aide, University of St. Thomas as an Undergraduate Research Assistant, North Anoka Control Systems as a Mechanical Engineering Intern, and Starkey Hearing Technologies as an Electroacoustic Technician Intern. Burquest earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of St. Thomas and has developed expertise in designing test protocols, conducting design verification tests, and utilizing rapid prototyping in accordance with industry standards.
