Maria Burbano Salazar

Maria Burbano Salazar is a seasoned professional in biomedical and medical engineering with extensive experience in commercial and field support roles. Currently serving as the Manager of Commercial and Field Support at HistoSonics, Inc., Maria previously held multiple positions at Medtronic, including Senior Development Engineer and Senior Product Support Engineer, where responsibilities included service program management and technical troubleshooting of cardiac ablation equipment. Maria also brings a research background from the University of Minnesota's Visible Heart Lab, where as a Graduate Research Fellow, studies focused on electroporation effects on nerve function. Additional experience includes internships at Stryker and the University of Texas at Dallas, where contributions spanned product development, mechanical testing, and research assisting roles. Maria holds a Master of Science in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the University of Texas at Dallas.
