Alison Cantrell

Alison Cantrell has a diverse work experience in the fields of digital content editing, proofreading, copyediting, and project management. Alison started their career in 2011 as a Writing Consultant and Literary Editor at Georgia Southwestern State University. From 2014 to 2015, they served as a Public Relations Assistant and Studio Leader at the University Writing Center. Alison also worked as a Co-Instructor for the University 1000 course during this time. In 2016, they joined Ooligan Press as Acquisitions & Editorial Staff and also took on the role of Project Manager for Write to Publish in 2017.

In 2017, Alison Cantrell began working at Thread as a Proofreader and remained in that role until December 2021. During this time, they also worked part-time as a Digital Content Editor for Hit Subscribe from November 2018. In 2018, they joined Creative Circle as a Copyeditor/Proofreader and Quail Run Publishing Consultants as an Editor & Marketing Coordinator.

More recently, in 2021, they joined CMD as a Proofer/Editor, and their role is expected to end in April 2023. Throughout their career, Alison has demonstrated strong editing and writing skills, as well as project management expertise.

Alison Cantrell completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English/Professional Writing at Georgia Southwestern State University from 2010 to 2014. Alison further pursued their education at Portland State University from 2016 to 2017, acquiring a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Writing/Book Publishing.
