Kristin R. has a wealth of experience in the editorial and communications fields. Kristin began their career in 2015 as the Opinions Editor for The Stentor, where they were responsible for brainstorming article topics and providing developmental and copy edits on articles. In 2017, they became an Acquisitions Intern at the University of Chicago Press, where they enhanced book search engine optimization by writing book and chapter abstracts and identified and recorded image types for the arts/permissions database. Kristin also served as the Communications Coordinator for the Office of Development and Alumni Relations at Lake Forest College, where they were the team leader for coordinating major events and wrote stories for the college website. In 2017, they became a Fiction Editor for Hair Trigger Magazine, where they copyedited and proofed selected works for Hair Trigger 40 and designed the interior layout for Hair Trigger 40. In 2018, Kristin became a Senior Content Editor for Hit Subscribe, where they evaluated technical blog posts for grammar and broader issues of content and copyedited posts and white papers according to individual clients' style guides. Kristin also served as a Copyeditor/Page Designer for Shaw Media in 2019, where they copyedited articles and press releases using AP style and budgeted the biweekly newspaper. Additionally, they were the Production Manager/Editor-in-Chief for Inter-Text: An Undergraduate Journal for Social Sciences & Humanities in 2018, where they planned and oversaw meetings and communication with the editorial team and managed and participated in acquisitions and editorial processes. Finally, Kristin is currently an Editorial Associate for Religious Studies, Philosophy, and Music at the University of Chicago Press.
